| I'm trying something new. I'm going to attempt to get all my art in a few posts, so I can keep straight what I've already posted and what I haven't (and to try and spare non friended people my inevitable rambling). Starting with Saving Jane because I'm becoming an affiliate-esque site with The Saving Jane Fan Club and figured I would try and get all of this organized for right now. I guess I'll try posting anything after what I post tonight by cuts so you don't have to scroll through everything to get to the new stuff. People with dial-up are going to hate me. | Still needs some tweaking, and almost definitely a default icon that I didn't throw together in 30 seconds (as much as I kind of love this one). Freaking Sam only had to mention Supernatural, and I had to catch up from last season since I missed it (pfft thanks =P ). I forgot how much I love that show. I like it more season 2 than I did last. Don't know if it's better, or if I've just gotten more interested in it. So I was addicted for a few days until I finished the season, and then I had to make something. Figured it was time for a new layout. Voila! I might even make a wallpaper too if I get bored enough. Heroes one's kinda getting old. I get sick of wallpapers way too quickly. And I kind of want Jensen Ackles on my desktop...

| I'm on a freakin' roll with the SJ stuff! Okay, so mostly I was really really bored and without internet or guitar Saturday night. The hell else was I supposed to do? I did organize my entire "My Pictures" folder by Bands, TV Shows/Movies, Actors/Actresses, Promos, and Misc though. So now I keep looking at my folders when I go to save or upload crap like o_0 "WHERE'D THE SAVING JANE FOLDER GOOOOO?". Until I realize it's in bands, you dumbass. Anyways... 2 days of school for final review, 2 days off to sleep in and who knows, maybe even try and understand a soap or two, then one day of finals, 3 days off to sleep in, and hopefully party if I can convince my parents to leave for the campground Saturday so I can still go to Lindsay's graduation, then 1 day of finals, then 3 months off to sleep in, party, and play the hell out of my guitars (maybe even both at once..who knows). w00t w00t. Oh yeah, that's right. I just said "w00t w00t". I am THAT pumped for summer. Hell yes. Why can I never remember how to spell "San Francisco"? I can never remember if it's "cis" or "sis". Whatever. This song is figgin' awesome. It's better acoustic, but the album version's good too. Y'all should go order it before she sells out and they go for 400 bucks on ebay like Michelle Branch's indie CD. Got mine the day I saw them and have been playing the hell out of it since. And I'm totally stalling going to bed because Mondays freakin' suck! Damnit! I said "y'all" again, and I didn't even notice it until AFTER I posted and was reading over it to see how many stupid typos I made. God, I'm turning into a redneck. My dad was talking about how you can shoot anybody for going on your lawn in Texas so I said "then let's move to Texas". He asked why I would wanna live there. "Cowboys" "The team?" Aand, on a completely random note, I really hate these Italian Ice spoons. They're just flat pieces of popsickle sticks...how are you supposed to scoop italian ice with a flat stick? And of course the ice is like, rock solid so the spoon always BREAKS. But I'm too lazy to go downstairs and get a real spoon, so I guess I'll deal. | The show itself, the part where they actually play the music, was amazing. The overall experience...meh. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was all totally worth it, but meh. And I'm now broke. yay. Gave my last ten bucks to my dad to pre-order Miranda Lambert's new CD, since it's 5 bucks cheaper, and I'd get it sooner...and I probably won't have money when it's released. But I'm getting my bday present from my aunt sometime this week, and that will probably go towards both Michelle Branch CDs, and maybe an actual non-sucky CD, depending on how much I get...just not sure what non-sucky CDs I want. Suggestions or something I might like? Particularly non-country? My CD rack is starting to look like my mom's iPod...not cool. This song's off the new album (yay for Sony letting satelite radio play some tracks early), and bad. ass.

Most recent thing is a Hackers banner. My mom wanted me to make something of them and send it to them, because she likes them. I think it's one of the few things we agree on, actually. I wasn't gonna make it at first, but I got bored. And since I'm in the same Photobucket folder, the next one is Secondhand Serenade. New brushes, new picture, musician whoring. Yay. Alica Leigh Willis had a new show premiere Tuesday, and it's awesome (American Heiress, 8pm, My Network TV..shameless plug!). Okay, so it's a telenova and kind of lame, but a lot better than I'd expected it to be. Found some new promo pics, made some crap for an ALW board I joined and have yet to post on. Meh, might post something during Tuesday's show, dunno. Hmm. What else? I know there's more... OH! Wreckers icon. Liked the pic, was bored, needed something new for some boards. Wahoo. | I cannot make wallpapers anymore. I've just lost the ability. My SJ walls turned out great, the HBCD wall was awesome (okay, so I might be a little biased), and the Faith one was really really plain, but dealable if I organized the icons right. Decided I wanted a new one. Tried to make a Scott Clifton wall, and I don't like it much. I set it as my background, just for a change until I make something better, and it's growing on me, but blaaaaah. Under the cut. Eh, in other news, my dad keeps asking me questions about The Wreckers. This could be for 2 different reasons. He saw them on Nashville Star on Thursday (which I was slightly disapointed with - neither played guitar! :-( and both of 'em changed their hair and I'm not real fond of either), and liked 'em. Or, he's actually picked up on the hints I've dropped about them coming to a club about an hour away from here the Saturday after my birthday, and is planning on taking me. Personally, I'm hoping both. But judging by the fact that most times, he doesn't even remember my name (and I'm not kidding...), I'm kind of doubting he's picked up on any kind of hint. *sigh* ah well. I'll make it to that damn show one way or another, if I have to buy everyone's ticket myself..somehow. Being sick SUCKS! Trying to learn 10 songs by the end of next weekend, so far I've mastered 3, working on memorizing 2 others. Except I think my left hand's going to fall off, and I'm deaf in my right ear. I'm pretty sure the deafness is because I'm congested, but it's really weird because I sit with my stereo to my left, and the amplification hole on the guitar is on my right, so it's a weird balance. | Signed up for Scott Clifton's street team a couple days ago, and on the registration form, it asked for skills. Said I was pretty handy with photoshop. Got an email from the street team manager guy asking if I could create a banner for Scott's show in Chicago next month. Was partly like "hmm. never really done anything REAL promo-like.", and the rest was like "hellz yeah!". Wanted a lot of info on it, but not too big, so it was pretty hard to get it without smushing it. First version, text was darker, but blended nicely and stuff. Sent it. Got an email this afternoon asking if I could lighten the text so it popped out. Did it, and it defintely looks better. now, had I done the same colors on an icon, it'd probably be blinding, but that's where I need to teach myself the difference between promo work and pretty work. *sigh* I shall learn eventually. Can see it under the cut.
Feel kinda bad though. I've been incredibly lucky to be able to promote multiple artists, even get to know a couple for creating promo work, and there are so many people that are a lot better than me that haven't had any of the opportunities I've had. Think the only difference is that I'm dorky and shameless enough (uh, behind the keyboard, anyways) to send it to 'em. *sigh* guess the dorkitude's good for somethin'. Had tiny text in the upper right corner, and wanted to overlay "Kenny" on that in a fancy script, so I just randomly placed the text cursor thing on his shirt and set the text as white, randomly picked a font, and made it big, so I could screw around with that. Looked cool, so kept it. Was also bluer origionally, but kinda thought that didn't work with the white text. | Because Santa was very good to me this year and brought me a new computer, and because that computer is widescreen, thus having a larger resolution, I needed to make a new wallpaper. For a little while I just added some black siding to my HBCD wall since it didn't look any different, but there was a lot of empty space. So I decided to make a whole new one. Been in a pretty Buffy-ful mood, so decided to make a Buffy wall. Thumbnail's small, so I won't bother with a cut.
Hmm. Whaddya think? I'm pretty fond of it. A little too much blank space at the bottom right, but couldn't really put anything there w/o screwing it up, and that's where the desktop icons and stuff go anyways.

He also happens to be my musical hottie crush since I was 12, so it was rather amazing, haha. Drummer threw his drumsticks into the crowd, and I was lucky enough to get whacked in the head with one and catch it. also caught a piece of one of the setlists. met them afterwards, had 'em sign my CD. Can't say it really compares to the SJ shows because..well, they're SJ, but it was amazing. I've been a fan of Hoobastank longer than any other band, 5 years, so it was a really cool experience. Also random babbliness, I'm addicted to this damn Crossfade song. Got their new CD last..Sunday? sometime last weekend. Never heard anything off it, since I don't listen to the radio. Fell in love with Invincible the first time I heard it (well, technically, the first time, I only THOUGHT I might love it..). Turns out it was their single. So check it out.
