1st one's Michelle Branch, made it for my icon on the MBMB (It's BAACK!), 2nd one's Colbie Caillat, last 3 are Lifehouse...all 3 are made from pics I took at the concert (except hte last one, which Becca took). I'm rather happy with how those turned out.

Hmm. Just found this while checking to see if I forgot anything. I made it ages ago, and don't think I ever posted it...

Everybody shipped them in the beginning of the show...and then it turns out that he's her biological uncle. Waaaay to ruin a good thing. I keep hoping there's some sort of twist where they f'd up and he's not actually related to her.

I gave him a printed out banner I made and printed out one for him to sign. He flipped over it, lol. It was awesome. he seriously hugged me about 10 times. I was happy...very happy =) Freakin' Walmart blew it up and fucked up the proportions and made it all pixely though. So I emailed him the real version, so he knew it didn't suck. Loved it. Said he's coming back in January to promote his new album. YAY!

Lifehouse concert...

AHHH! One of the best concerts I've ever seen (I mightsay that after every show...but they all kind of rock). I took a bunch of pictures, so I think I'll just post my favorites...I'll try and keep it below 20, but no promises.

Opening band=the mint. They weren't bad...but everybody pretty much just wanted Lifehouse.

Setlist...or part of it. But no THE JOKE! *cries*

So, he pretty much has the greatest smile ever.

The bassist and drummer were like, right in front of their color light things (which are bad-freakin'-ass, btw), so It was nearly impossible to get good shots of them.

As far as an actual review goes...

Got there 2 hours early, and there was already 15 or so people. Waited, got in, waited some more, opening band, waited some more, LIFEHOUSE. They pretty much rocked my socks off.

Technical difficulties, so Jason did a few solo songs until they could fix the one amp. Ha, he started playing All You Wanted by Michelle Branch as a joke, and like, everybody sang along. Took a few requests from the crowd, and played Everything. I freaking love that song. I got it on video, even though we definitely weren't supposed to be doing video. ah well.

The bassist played a Def Leppard song and Jason said he'd give somebody 10 bucks if they could tell him who sings it. He literally handed the person money (only $5 though).

Yeah. There's not much else to say, other than that it was amazing. The first thing Becca said to me after it ended was "we are definitely seeing them again". Hell-freakin'-yes.

Ahhh, this gonna get fucked up because I have to move into HTML mode. Uuuugh. Don't worry, I'll fix it.

When Ben's amp blew out, Jason started taking requests from the crowd. After he totally heard it from like 323463 people, he finally played Everything. I had to get it on video because A) They don't usually play it at shows and B) It's Becca's favorite song.

And part 2. They're all short because we weren't supposed to be taking video, so I didn't want to get caught. The bouncer was basically right in front of us (you can probably see him in a few of the pictures).

Still needs some tweaking, and almost definitely a default icon that I didn't throw together in 30 seconds (as much as I kind of love this one). Freaking Sam only had to mention Supernatural, and I had to catch up from last season since I missed it (pfft thanks =P ). I forgot how much I love that show. I like it more season 2 than I did last. Don't know if it's better, or if I've just gotten more interested in it. So I was addicted for a few days until I finished the season, and then I had to make something. Figured it was time for a new layout. Voila! I might even make a wallpaper too if I get bored enough. Heroes one's kinda getting old. I get sick of wallpapers way too quickly. And I kind of want Jensen Ackles on my desktop...

umm...right. Let me know what you think? 3:30am...I'm thinking sleep might be a good idea.

I'm just gonna post some of my newer stuff in a seperate post so I don't forget to post it later.

He changed the release date and album title, so he had me redo it. You can see it on his official MySpace page too! I love that guy. Okay, yeah. That was partly a shameless plug of his music, but also partly a shameless self plug. Oh yeah, I'm good.

My friend runs a fansite for her, I've seen the majority of her movies, and she's an awesome actress. Don't know who she is? Check: Panic Room, Catch That Kid, Zathura, The Messenger, In The Land Of Women, ummm. I think there's more. But I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Raaambling. I like it. So I post it. And major props for the Clash shirt.

I'm in love with this guy. That's all there is to it.

Revamped my old live signature banner, but I still don't like it. I don't have any good pics of Jessica, so it looks like shit no matter what.

Somebody wanna tell me something to do with this? Because I blended it, I screwed around with the colors, and I like it, but I have no idea what to do with it. Grr.

I'm really really wanting to make new Buffy stuff lately, and I have no idea why. I haven't even watched it in months...*hangs head in shame*. I wanna make a Willow "w00t" icon, and I can picture a little scene from season one or two where she's excited about something cute with Xander from when they were little. And Buffy was lost on it and they said you had to be there to make her feel better, but I cannot remember for the life of me what episode it was. Sam, help me out here? Gah. Now I think I might just dig out all my DVDs and have a marathon tomorrow.

and I'm rambling again. Geez. Bad, bad habit. Almost as bad as the dorkitude habit. I should work on those, because I totally just did both at the same time.

I'm on a freakin' roll with the SJ stuff! Okay, so mostly I was really really bored and without internet or guitar Saturday night. The hell else was I supposed to do? I did organize my entire "My Pictures" folder by Bands, TV Shows/Movies, Actors/Actresses, Promos, and Misc though. So now I keep looking at my folders when I go to save or upload crap like o_0 "WHERE'D THE SAVING JANE FOLDER GOOOOO?". Until I realize it's in bands, you dumbass.

Anyways...

I made a new wallpaper. I kind of love it. I'm only posting a screen shot of my own desktop because over on The Wreckers board, there was an issue of somebody who made graphics for a lot of members on the board that was accused of stealing a wallpaper that she made. Thing that happened, was she posted it a while back on the original Michelle Branch boards, and some 12 year old kid took it, claimed it as their own, the maker posted it on The Wreckers board later, and one of the 12 year old kid's friends accused her of stealing it. Since I make my art posts public, I'd like to avoid that. No, I don't think any of my friends that see this will steal it, but I honestly don't feel like risking anything like that happening...it is the open web and all. Icons, I don't care about as much. Yeah, it's really shitty to claim somebody elses work as your own, and it would piss me off, but eh. It's a 100x100 picture. aaanyways.

Sammeh, you're gonna have to explain to me again how to change the bar color, because the blue really doesn't work.

If for some reason anybody wants to use the wallpaper or something, just leave a comment here, MySpace message me, email me or something and I'll send you the actual thing. I'm just hesitant to put it on the open web lately.

I like, really really love the 3rd one. I think it'll probably replace the "Imperfection" icon I have in my userpics. First 2 are old pics from before GND was released (I think?), and the last 2 are new ones from the new shoot. The wallpaper pics are all from the new shoot that haven't actually been released as whole photos yet, but I used what I could get. I kinda love it. Text was a bitch though, and I'm still not sure if I like it or not. The "SAV" is higher than "ING"...except it's all one line of text. I may or may not fix that depending on how bored I get this week.

2 days of school for final review, 2 days off to sleep in and who knows, maybe even try and understand a soap or two, then one day of finals, 3 days off to sleep in, and hopefully party if I can convince my parents to leave for the campground Saturday so I can still go to Lindsay's graduation, then 1 day of finals, then 3 months off to sleep in, party, and play the hell out of my guitars (maybe even both at once..who knows). w00t w00t.

Oh yeah, that's right. I just said "w00t w00t". I am THAT pumped for summer. Hell yes.

Why can I never remember how to spell "San Francisco"? I can never remember if it's "cis" or "sis". Whatever. This song is figgin' awesome. It's better acoustic, but the album version's good too. Y'all should go order it before she sells out and they go for 400 bucks on ebay like Michelle Branch's indie CD. Got mine the day I saw them and have been playing the hell out of it since. And I'm totally stalling going to bed because Mondays freakin' suck!

Damnit! I said "y'all" again, and I didn't even notice it until AFTER I posted and was reading over it to see how many stupid typos I made. God, I'm turning into a redneck. My dad was talking about how you can shoot anybody for going on your lawn in Texas so I said "then let's move to Texas". He asked why I would wanna live there.

Last one I made with the new pic on their MySpace. They have individual pics too, but they're not really photoshoppable. Already kinda photoshopped, so dunno. Hopefully once the new site opens up, they'll have un-messed with versions of the new pics and I can go nuts with those.

Dak's totally wearing a Wayne Gretzky armband in the last pic, and I think it rocks. Okay, so I used to be a hockey player...EVERY hockey player has to have at least a little respect for the G-man. I'm tellin' ya, I should've been born Canadian...or southern (What? I want an accent, damnit!)

Think that's all I've made lately, other than the pretty new Daughtry layout (less than 2 months til the show!!). Summer's comin' up though, so I'll probably get around to actually doing something sometime soonish.

This song's so gay, but so awesome. Toootally got it for nostalgia reasons..I swear! Eh, screw it. It rocks.

Aand, on a completely random note, I really hate these Italian Ice spoons. They're just flat pieces of popsickle sticks...how are you supposed to scoop italian ice with a flat stick? And of course the ice is like, rock solid so the spoon always BREAKS. But I'm too lazy to go downstairs and get a real spoon, so I guess I'll deal.

Whooo the fuck thought it was okay to diss two of my favorite things in the world? AND Bamboozle? But WHO FUCKING DISSES BUFFY? Remind me to track this person down and kick their ass.

One thing that confuses me...I've seen just about every Buffy episode made (and the unaired pilot...but I shouldn't admit that), and I have no idea what an extra on Buffy is SUPPOSED to look like. They kinda look like 25 year olds in a high school to me, but hey. Maybe I'm missing something.

Rather than bitching about how much most of the bands at my school suck and how stupid I was to think this year would be any better than last year, I will simply post a banner. You can thank me later.

Please, no laughing, pointing, or heavy/sharp object throwing of any kind.

I really kind of love how it looks. Caps are shitty quality because I had to get them myself from a streaming video from CMT.com (why I even dared going on that site, I have no idea). Tried covering the shitty quality up with a shitty texture, and in a less-shitty way, it kind of worked. Go me.

Watched an interview with her before her new music video (which is where all the caps are from) premiered, and I freakin' loved how she literally went from talking about buying nearly 400 acres of land so she could hunt, to how she's a huge supporter of the Humane Society. Texas people are funny.

Oh. And I pre-ordered her new CD a while ago. But apparenlty, pre-ordered CDs are only SHIPPED the day they come out. Wtf. Sony, you suck.

Am I the only one that finds it absolutely amazing that both of those girls wrote the majority of the songs on their albums when they were my age? She was my favorite from this season of Nashville Star...not that I watch that or anything. *cough* right. I messaged it to her through MySpace and she was cool to respond. Just said thanks and that she really liked it, but hey. Better than nothing. I've always found it really awesome when artists at least make an effort to keep in contact with their fans in some way or another. The "Southern Girl With Attitude" line is from one of her songs..not just random, haha.

Simple as hell, but gah. *dies*. American Idol guy or not, he is hot, he can sing, and he plays guitar. I ask for nothing else.

Okay, so the fact that he's married with kids is a slight technicality. We'd better see them this summer. I'm sure we will...I doubt Becca will give up, haha.

Gibson SG has been my dream electric for 3 years, and Gibson Hummingbird, the acoustic she plays (most of the time..I think she plays a Taylor too) has been my dream acoustic for a while now. I need a freaking job. And she plays the SG during my favorite song off the album (Cigarettes...download it or something, it's awesome!)

During "My, Oh My", I think. I know they switch sides of the stage for that at least. I think they switch for "Love Me Like That" too, but that's one of the first songs they played. Ugh, I don't remember. I didn't like the song at first, because it was too country. It either grew on me, or I got more into country since I first heard it, because I love it now.

Oh. And apparently, Michelle's stalker was at her last few shows before he was arrested Monday. Meaning he was probably at this one, which would explain the bouncers getting on stage before the encore. Bastard.

On a completely RANDOM note, I wrote a song tonight. Which is really stupid because I'm sick, so singing only makes things worse (...including the song). But the lyrics randomly came to me yesterday, so I jotted 'em down and put music to 'em tonight. It's pretty much a really short, kind of repetative 'fuck you' kind of song. By repetative 'fuck you' song, I don't actually mean it says 'fuck you' over and over, but the verses are short and the chorus is long.

I am still waiting for feeling to return to my left index finger. Nerve damage suuuucks! Word of advice: If you learn to play guitar, learn to hold the guitar so you're not crushing the nerve in your finger so you can actually um...feel it after 3 years. Doctor said she'd give me some kind of medication for it or something and then uh, didn't. Said something about physical therapy, but that sounds like a load of bull. Physical therapy for my finger? I smell a rip-off.

The show itself, the part where they actually play the music, was amazing. The overall experience...meh. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was all totally worth it, but meh.

Didn't actually leave here until about 3:30, got there about 5:30. Started raining around 6, no shelter. Doors opened at 7:30, half an hour later than the website said. Argh. All of us had to go to the bathroom before we even got there, but there was nowhere around with bathrooms, and none of us had eaten since about noon. So we went until about 12:30am before we could do either. 3 opening bands, insane. First band was completely acoustic, and really, really reminded me of Saving Jane for some reason, just with a little country kick. Just a guy on gutiar and a girl singing. Oh. And you know the last song (I think?) they played was? Bobbi McGee. That's apparenlty the first song Pat and Marti ever played together at the party they met at. Crazy. They played it like, 2 minutes after I thought "Hmm. They kind of remind me of Pat and Marti". Then a southern rock cover band, that was actually kind of awesome. Granted, they were all way too old to think they were that cool, and throw Mardi Gras beads to ten year old girls. But they did a bitchin' cover of Sweet Home Alabama. 3rd band was kind of like a rock band, with a pop/country/attention whore singer. Like, she would put her hands into the crowd for people to grab her hand...even though nobody was reaching for her. The guitarist was obviously a rock/metal guitarist, and he was pretty awesome. The bassist probably could have stolen some of the singer's energy. But they did a really really good cover of Martina McBride's "When God Fearin' Women Get The Blues". Um...or so I heard. Not that I like...know the origional or anything. Pffft. *shifty eyes* Wreckers didn't even get on stage until about 10:30, I think.

Wow. AWESOME. I think I need to see them again some time. We were against the stage, and I was pretty much right in front of Jess Harp. Got smiles from both of the girls for singing (mouthing) along to every song, even unreleased songs (because I'm a loser like that...). At one point, Michelle Branch just sort of started rambling about submarines, lmao. She's like "..yeah, this is going nowhere. Let's play another song." then started talking about submarines more after the song. She was going to play "You Don't Know How It Feels" by Tom Petty, but there was a girl there who sees her every year for her bday and had a Michelle Branch hoodie on. She's like "I wasn't gonna do this, but I see a few familiar faces, so I'm gonna play one of my old songs for you guys.". She did this gorgeous acoustic version of All You Wanted. I have the album version and the acoustic version (I think it's from an old AOL Sessions or something), but this was a lot slower and just really cool sounding. That recording turned out decently, as did all the other acoustic stuff, but anything with bass/drums really didn't turn out well :-( It went by soo freaking quick, and I'm pretty sure I even saw Michelle say "That went so fast" to Jess during one of the solos or something. Amiah, my niece got a smile from Michelle too. Jess seems to look towards the back more. Tried getting her attention at the end to have her sign my Preface album cover, but I wasn't loud enough. but hey, as lame as it sounds, I'm proud of myself for working up the nerve to even try. It's a big step. I'm usually so quiet and shy.

I got my hoodie. It's so f'ing soft!! See, all my hoodies are 10 bucks from Kmart. My mom thought I was insane for spending 40 bucks on a hoodie. Totally worth it, even though it isn't black. My cousin sent me a brown "Muhlenberg" shirt, which is the college she goes to. Since it's pretty close to the club, I figured I'd wear it. Doesn't match with black, so I had to wear blue jeans. So I'm wearing no black, and as much as I hate to admit it, I kind of like how it looks. This does not mean at all that I'm giving up the black, because I wub my black clothes, but I think I might have like, one non-black outfit now *gasp* My mom hates the fact that here's a skull and 2 guns on the hoodie, but it's not black, so she's just happy about that. She hates the blackness.

Got home around 2, but didn't fall asleep till about 4. Then woke up at 7 and couldn't get back to sleep. AARGH. I'd fall asleep for a few minutes every half hour or so, but couldn't stay asleep. Laaame. So if I say anything really stupid or anything, that's why.

And I'm now broke. yay. Gave my last ten bucks to my dad to pre-order Miranda Lambert's new CD, since it's 5 bucks cheaper, and I'd get it sooner...and I probably won't have money when it's released. But I'm getting my bday present from my aunt sometime this week, and that will probably go towards both Michelle Branch CDs, and maybe an actual non-sucky CD, depending on how much I get...just not sure what non-sucky CDs I want. Suggestions or something I might like? Particularly non-country? My CD rack is starting to look like my mom's iPod...not cool. This song's off the new album (yay for Sony letting satelite radio play some tracks early), and bad. ass.

Ooo, my dad's gonna stop at Starbucks for me and my mom. Yaaay.

Most recent thing is a Hackers banner. My mom wanted me to make something of them and send it to them, because she likes them. I think it's one of the few things we agree on, actually. I wasn't gonna make it at first, but I got bored.

Alica Leigh Willis had a new show premiere Tuesday, and it's awesome (American Heiress, 8pm, My Network TV..shameless plug!). Okay, so it's a telenova and kind of lame, but a lot better than I'd expected it to be. Found some new promo pics, made some crap for an ALW board I joined and have yet to post on. Meh, might post something during Tuesday's show, dunno.

I really really really love the butterfly one, but it's really similar to the "Something To Hold On To" cover, their first independent album. So I have no idea if I wanna risk them not liking it because they want to go in a different direction, or send in the second one and risk it just not being good enough. Gah.

Oh. And misc crap. Designed my title page for my term paper because I had to beat Darlene's title page. She has dancing condoms. How do you beat that?! lmao. Also designed two buttons for Nicole's music video site. I'd add a shameless plug, but I'm retarded and keep forgetting to bookmark it.

Walmart trip. Finally got the freakin' Wreckers CD. I'm so bad. Had them downloaded for a long time. Convinced my mom to get the Daughtry CD and totally stole it from her (Don't worry, I gave it back..after ripping all the songs onto my comp). She just thinks he's hot. She bought the freakin' Little Big Town CD too. I don't like them, and I dunno why. I TRIED to get her to like Hinder, but NOO, she didn't like the cover, so she wouldn't even listen to it. Ugh.

I finally got off my ass and made some new Saving Jane art. actually, does 'got off my ass' really work for that? because I'm still sitting on my ass on the computer, I 'm just doing something semi-productive.

I don't like that much. I think I might try something later with a wallpaper or something because I really love the concept, especially with the new album coming out in the next few months or so, but I just hate the fricking banner. And my current wallpaper is shit, so hey, could use a new one. Basically just pictures of the different 'forms' of the band (beginning to current), with the saturation amount increasing through time, but never completely saturated because it's not the end yet. Lame, yes. But I thought it was a decent concept..too bad it didn't work >_< Yeah, I just did one of those smiley things. Very frustrated.

Seriously, the guys are freakin' unrecognizable in the old shoots. I mean, I know who's who, but had to take a second glance.

Shit load of stuff tonight, eh? you'd think with all the pics I'd be able to come up with something, but nope. Really kinda pissing me off that I can't do anything. Ah well, Marti said there's a new shoot coming eventually, so hopefully I can figure out something to do with that.
